​

American baritone Aaron Murphy has appeared on opera and concert stages across the Eastern U.S. and Canada. His notable roles include appearances as Guglielmo in Così fan tutte with Opera Tennessee, Frank in Die Fledermaus with Opéra McGill, the title role in Eugene Onegin with Opera NUOVA, and premiering the role of Gerhard in The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay with Indiana University Opera Theatre, a co-production with the Metropolitan Opera. His concert work includes Handel's Messiah with Chattanooga First Seventh Day Adventist Church and Southern Adventist University Orchestra, Beethoven’s Mass in C with the Cantabile Chorale de Ste.-Geneviève, and Bach’s Magnificat at St. Michael’s Church in Charleston, SC.

Up Next

Join American baritone Aaron Murphy for an afternoon of rarely-heard Nordic song gems in their original languages! Titled "Borealis: A Nordic Song Journey," this recital is a program with one set of songs each from four major Nordic composers, representing the four largest Nordic countries: Nielsen of Denmark, Stenhammar of Sweden, Grieg of Norway, and Sibelius of Finland.

 

April 11th, 2026 at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music's Ford-Crawford Recital Hall.
